Olatokunbo Ajayi (“Tokunbo”) is currently the Chief Operating Officer of TOLG Advisors. She has over 32 years of experience in the financial services industry. She was a founding trustee of the Association of Corporate Trustees and served in various roles as financial secretary, vice president, and president between 2016 and 2021. She was formerly the Managing Director of United Capital Trustees Limited.
Tokunbo has vast experience in a wide range of Capital Market, Corporate Trust/Security Agent, Real Estate and Private Trust transactions with Trust Mandates of asset base of about N6.0 Trillion involving Loan Syndications and Project Finance transactions, Note Issuance Facilities and Debt Programs, Debenture Trust as debt instruments, Collective Investment Schemes/REITs, Bond Trusteeship and Private Trust. She has an unbeatable track record in major financial and project finance transactions demonstrating unique custodial capability and systems with sound risk management framework and unique Business Continuity process.
She qualified as a Barrister & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1986 after a Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of Ife, Ile-Ife, Oyo State, Nigeria in 1985. Before joining the UBA group in 1989, she was in private Legal Practice. She is a very experienced trustee and a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Nigeria, Nigerian Institute of Management, the Business Recovery & Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria (BRIPAN), INSOL International, Association of Investment Advisers & Portfolio Managers (Fellow), Institute of Directors (IoD) Nigeria, Nigerian Institute of Management (Fellow), INSOL and the British Council.
